Accreditation-ready every day, not just visit week
Nigeria's accreditation rules are changing. Standards must now hold all year, with staff, equipment and records that can be verified on any day. IntelliScan helps universities, polytechnics and colleges of education prove it.
The Federal Government is ending borrowed accreditation
Accreditation must reflect an institution's actual, sustainable capacity, and prescribed standards must be maintained throughout the year, not only during accreditation visits.
Standards all year, not only during visits
What a panel sees must be what the institution has on every other day.
No borrowed staff, equipment or facilities
Staff identity and affiliation, and the ownership and working condition of facilities, are to be verified.
Digital, geotagged and verifiable
The Ministry has called for geospatial mapping, geotagging and secure digital records.
Illegal admissions in scope
Enrolment that does not match the official admission list is a named concern.
One service, shaped to your regulator
Universities
Programme accreditation looks at seven areas, and full accreditation needs at least 70% in every core area. Institutional accreditation judges the university as a whole. Both need evidence that holds all year.
Everything a panel will ask for, ready and verifiable
Live readiness scores
Every programme and the whole institution scored against the areas panels assess, with the fixes that gain the most points listed first.
Verified staff registry
Identity and face-match checks, short check-ins during working hours to confirm presence on campus, and flags when a lecturer is listed elsewhere on the network.
Live equipment evidence
QR-tagged equipment photographed live in the app, checked against the campus boundary. Gallery uploads are refused, so the evidence is real.
Document workflow
Self-study and supporting documents are checked for completeness, reviewed by HOD, Dean and DAP in order, then locked and stored for the regulator.
AI advisor and risk alerts
Hear about a risk the week it appears, by email, WhatsApp or SMS, with escalation to the Vice-Chancellor. The AI suggests; people decide.
Tamper-evident record
Every piece of evidence is fingerprinted when it is sealed, so any later edit is detected. Regulators get read-only access to what you approve.
From first audit to always ready
- Weeks 1–6
Readiness audit
We verify staff, tag major equipment, reconcile admissions and rank the gaps for each programme.
- Weeks 3–8
Close the gaps
Each office gets its own actions, owners and dates, starting with the programmes whose visits are nearest.
- Weeks 7–12
Prepare the evidence
Self-Study Forms drafted, checked and signed off, followed by a mock panel visit on the pilot programmes.
- Every day after
Stay ready
Evidence renewed, risk alerts watched, and a readiness report for Senate and Council each term.
How ready is your institution today?
Answer 10 questions for an instant, indicative readiness result and your three biggest gaps. Nothing is sent until you ask for the full report.
A free, read-only view for review teams
NUC, NBTE and NCCE review teams can follow an institution's readiness between visits. They see the documents the institution has approved, can post comments and required actions with a response date, and close items once they are resolved.
- Read-only access. The institution decides what is shared.
- Comments, suggestions and required actions, each with a response date
- Documents arrive locked and fingerprinted, so any later change is detected
- No cost to regulators
IntelliScan Standards Institute is independent. This service is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, NUC, NBTE or NCCE.
Provide appointment letters for two lecturers who also appear on another institution's full-time staff list, or remove them from the staff return.
One lecturer has been re-declared as visiting staff. The other has been removed from the return. Ledger references are attached.
Start with an audit, stay ready all year
Readiness Audit
Staff verified, major equipment tagged, admissions reconciled, and a ranked gap report for every programme.
Readiness Platform
Year-round scores, staff registry, live equipment evidence, document workflow and regulator portal.
AI Advisor & Alerts
AI advisor, configurable risk triggers, escalation, and WhatsApp, SMS and email notifications.
Institutional Accreditation Prep
Institutional self-study, document verification, a mock institutional visit and the evidence pack.
Mock Accreditation Visit
An independent panel scores a programme the way a regulator would, 60 days before the real visit.
Fair to staff, careful with data, honest with regulators
Fair to staff
Check-ins happen only during working hours and only confirm presence on campus. There is no location tracking.
Nigeria Data Protection Act
Processing follows the NDPA. Where data is hosted is agreed in each institution's contract.
AI stays advisory
AI flags are checked by a person before anyone acts, and the AI never changes a record.
Student privacy
Student names are never sent to the AI. Admissions are reconciled inside the platform.
Tamper-evident
Evidence and approved documents are fingerprinted, so an edit made after approval shows up.
Institution in control
You decide what a regulator can see, and when.
Before you ask
Is this an official NUC, NBTE or NCCE accreditation?
No. Accreditation decisions are made only by the regulators. IntelliScan helps an institution prepare, keep its evidence current and show it clearly. The service is independent and not endorsed by any regulator.
Does it replace the Self-Study Form?
No. You still complete the regulator's own forms. The platform helps you draft them, checks they are complete and consistent with your verified records, routes them for sign-off and stores the approved versions.
Will our staff be tracked?
No. Lecturers are verified once, then answer short check-ins during working hours that only confirm they are on campus. There is no continuous location tracking.
Where is our data stored, and who can see it?
Data is processed under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, and hosting arrangements are agreed in your contract. Your institution controls access, including what any regulator can see.
Does the AI make decisions about staff or programmes?
No. AI highlights possible risks and drafts text for people to review. It never changes a record and never acts on its own.
How quickly can we start?
A pilot on the three programmes with the nearest visits can be running within 90 days, starting with a six-week readiness audit.
How much does it cost?
Every institution is different, so we send a written proposal after a short scoping call. Book a live demo and we will arrange both.
Book a live demo with your principal officers
A 30-minute live walkthrough of readiness scores, a staff conflict, a live equipment capture and a document sign-off route, using sample data. We will also arrange a scoping call for your proposal.
